We look to sell dresses at half the original price or less and (as long as they are still in a pristine and clean condition) can try and sell them again for you next year!

OUR TIPS FOR PROM SHOPPING
WHEN TO START
The best time to start shopping for prom dresses is from January (assuming your prom is in summer of the same year). Bear in mind alterations can take a few weeks towards your prom date!
SHOP IRL
In a real ‘brick-and-mortar’ shop, you have much more choice of style, colour and size and you build a relationship with us.
We can make suggestions you might not think of just standing in front of your bedroom mirror.
SHOULD I BOOK
Booking a time slot gives you an hours unrestricted access to our large fitting room. - try on as many as you like!
However, we are also open for walk-ins.
WHAT TO WEAR
An outfit that’s easy to change in and out of. Slip-on shoes, a dress that quickly goes on over your head or leggings and a jumper. If possible, wear a simple t-shirt style strapless bra with no colour or details that will show up through a dress.
This has the advantage of being hidden under most dresses, so you get a better idea of the dress bodice.
Please don’t wear too much makeup or apply fake tan - you don’t want to leave marks or stain on any of the dresses while trying them on.
WHAT TO BRING
Only bring one or two close friends/family members, so you don’t get too many conflicting opinions.
Bring your phone to take photos. You can use these photos to look back over the dresses you’ve tried on later.
Pack a small bag with a pair of heels, if you plan to wear heels on prom night. Trying on your dress with heels gives you a better idea of the length.
We can also provide heels - just ask!
KNOW YOUR BUDGET
Do not set yourself up for disaster. Be realistic and truthful with yourself when deciding on a prom dress budget. No matter your budget, there are thousands of beautiful dresses out there that fit into every price range. If someone else is paying for your dress, be sure to discuss a budget with them before trying on.
BE OPEN MINDED
Many times prom shoppers may have an exact dress in mind and they are uninterested in trying on other styles. We recommend trying a variety of styles and colours on, even if they’re not what you had pictured. Keep in mind that dresses you have researched online may look very different in person. Do not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone when shopping. You may even surprise yourself with the choices you will make.
TIPS WHEN TRYING
Fit: pay attention to how the dress fits: on the shoulders, waist and the length. These can be altered but should be noted.
Fitted, mermaid and A-line are the three most popular choices.
Fabric: see how it drapes on your body and highlights your figure.
Neckline: sweetheart, bandeau, jewel, scoop, or halter. A neckline will also define your jewellery choices, for example a high neck suits drop earrings or a sweetheart is complemented by a teardrop necklace.
Colour: should be based on what suits your skin tone and also your own taste.
Style: sleeveless, strapless or long/short sleeve dress.
Size: If you find a dress that is a different size to what you would normally wear in 'everyday clothes', this is completely normal.
You have no reason to worry or stress, this is the case with most prom customers! The dresses all fit so differently, with many of our dresses fitting much smaller, so please bear this in mind!
As long as you feel amazing in your dress, it does not matter what size is on the label!
