The Alexa bag is named after Alexa Chung, a British model. A relaxed stylish cross between the classic Bayswater bag and the men's Elkington briefcase. Combined, Mulberry created this understatedly cool satchel; complete with the iconic Postman's Lock and belt buckle strap detailing.
Finished in nightshade blue with large hand-carved anaconda snake scales and shiny gold tone hardware.
No peeling or lifted away scales, though as an intricately hand-carved leather, it immediately shows dimension with use and due to its inherent nature, the scales begin to curl very slightly at the edges with the natural movement of the bag. This is a characteristic of the hide and not a fault.
The rear base corners display some minor loss of colour, not wear, which appears as a slightly lighter tone.
The plait top handle is firm without any wear to the inking (edge sealant), and the long, detachable strap is excellent also.
The postmans lock plate displays some light surface scratches, light friction rubbing to the underside of the plate and there is scratching to the metal clad strap tip ends.
A messenger strap means Alexa can be worn across the body - perfect for an everyday, multi-purpose style.
The interior is lined in Mulberry Tree fabric with a zipped pocket and leather trimmed slip section. There are a few make up marks as shown in the photos but we have included a handy felt liner.
Approx Size: 33x17x23cm
Please note, the Mulberry label is scored (has a slight cross put through it, as shown in photos) which means it was originally sold to a Mulberry staff member at a discount and cannot be returned to Mulberry for repairs in the future, though there are many reputable handbag restoration companies that can do repairs if required.
